AGUILAS

Staged performances in Aguilas' old quarter are an original way of getting to known the history of this town through the stories of Aruj the Pirate and Francisca the Miller. BEACHES
The Aguilas coast stretches for 28 kilometres and is dotted with coves and fine sand beaches, including Calarreona Beach, La Carolina, Calabardina Beach, Calacerrada Beach, Playa del Arroz and El Hornillo. Furthermore, Aguilas offers spectacular diving areas rich in flora and fauna. Some examples of these are Isla del Fraile, Cabo Cope (Cape Cope) and La Catedral. There are also two protected natural areas: Cabo Cope - Calnegre Regional Park and Cuatro Calas.

OUTDOOR EXCURSIONS
You can take on numerous hiking routes in Aguilas and the surrounding area. These paths enable you to enjoy unrivalled natural sights. Three of these routes are well-signposted: Monte del Castillo, Cabo Cope and El Hornillo-Isla del Fraile.
LORCA
Visit La Fortaleza del Sol in Lorca if you want to experience the Middle Ages. You can enjoy a lot of culture in Lorca by visiting the embroidery museums, Guevera Palace, the visitors centre and the historical Plaza de España.
Cultural visits to Cartagena can include the Roman Theatre, Casa de la Fortuna (House of Fortune), the Punic Wall and you can even visit Caravaca de la Cruz.
